The world of spirit, like the Great Spirit and life itself, is infinite. The third dimension is a speck in the cosmos. There are infinite spheres of existence. The etheric spheres are not explicit areas or conditions. All life in the spirit world is graduated. Each stage merges into one that is higher, and this is a continuous process. There are no rigid lines of demarcation between one sphere and another. There are no chiefs or supervisors, the only chiefs are natural laws.
The world of spirit is not a world of contrast such as we experience in the world of matter. On earth, we experience night and day, physical senses and events unique to this world. Here, we experience souls who essentially exist in a broad range of spirit planes, but in the spirit world, we join with others who are essentially of the same evolutionary level. There are many pursuits for the spirit on the other side, where we can study and perform work that provide enjoyment. There is no need to earn money, pay rent, buy food and clothes.
We are as much now in the world of spirit as we ever will be. The term passing over is really the discarding of the physical body. It is possible to develop the gifts of spirit in order to tune into all of its vibrations and frequencies. It is not so much another world, but an integral part of the universe of which the earth is but one aspect.
In the world of spirit, thought is the building material that creates everything that exists. The form, shape and individuality we express when we pass over, is such that we are recognizable by others. We discard physical organs, and the higher the realm, or plane, the more androgynous we become in the form of love and light itself. The developed consciousness that exists in the higher realms cannot be manifested here on earth.
Spirit world dwellers can express varying aspects of life, but cannot be in several aspects at the same time. They can only be in one place at one time. There are no limitations of travel; a visit to remote places that are, say in physical terms, thousands or millions of miles away can be instantaneous. Those who dwell in any grade or realm cannot travel in higher realms of spirit than the level to which their character has reached. They can always travel to lower realms. The lower the world of spirit, the more earthly it is in appearance because the vibrations are more gross; the higher the realm of spirit, the finer the vibrations.
There is no privacy of thought in the spirit world, and nothing can be concealed, for all is known. In this world, we can cheat, lie and deceive. We can change our name, but we can never change our individuality.
Those who die and still strongly attach themselves to greed and power cannot be helped until they learn that it is useless. As long as people pass over unready, unprepared, unevolved and unfit, it creates problems and trouble in both worlds. There are many who do not progress for hundreds, and sometimes thousands of years, who are still filled with the desires of earth even when they have passed to the world of spirit. Their lives are filled with greed and desire, seeking to avoid the laws of spirit. They sink from lower planes to still lower planes, but no soul descends so low that it cannot rise. The light within these souls is never extinguished, for the link which binds it to the Great Spirit is a link forged in eternity. No soul is so high that it cannot descend to help the lowest.
Evolved souls continue to work to bring enlightenment to this world, to end the violence, greed, materialism, avarice and selfishness. These are the cancers which are responsible for war, disharmony and disruption everywhere. This work however, is slow, because during our finite physical life, we may not consciously see the progress that is ultimately taking place. We can hinder and delay, but not arrest the divine plan, which one day will manifest as the power of the spirit in which we can experience heaven on earth.
