We seek to achieve balance of mind, body and soul, each of which requires exercise, rest and interaction. Without balance, there can be suffering such as mental and physical stress, and impairment of the way by which the spirit can function.
Each person is responsible for the functioning of their body. If it is over-taxed, it will become dysfunctional.
Even in relationships it is balance that we should strive for with the desire to always be of service. Balance cannot be achieved with self-centered interests and without giving of oneself.
